Have you ever...
Have you ever had your car door make real loud noises for no reason and then the window slide down inside the door? I just did. It's a great experience to have while on the interstate. Especially when you can't get the window back up with the button or even manually by hand. So it looks like my afternoon will be spent at the car dealership. Good thing I brought the iPad and can read.

Endings...
I know that title seems a little weird, but it's actually happy. I've spent the better part of the last two months learning a new software program for a large project at work. I was very excited to start using this software because it is the future of the industry. I felt lucky to be given an opportunity to learn this now because it makes our firm more marketable and puts me on the cutting edge (geeks like that).
I knew it would be a long project because of the size and trying to design a hospital in a 3D program for the first time. I just didn't know how much more time it would take. The simplest tasks took hours to figure out. Objects that use to just be lines all of a sudden had to be drawn in 3D. Add to that indecisiveness by the powers that be and this was a long and stressful learning experience.
Yesterday afternoon we turned in our finished project to go out or bidding. I learned many tricks that will make my next project faster. This is something my wife will appreciate.
You see in the course of my learning experience I worked 7 days a week for the better part of a month. While she was very supportive, you can just tell when things are starting to take a toll on your better half. I know she wants me to do the best I can at work, but it was becoming hard to balance that with being able to spend quality time with my wife.
I must admit that this ending was welcome on a professional level, but also on a personal level. So tonight I am happily watching TV with my wife. I'm playing on my iPhone/iPad and she is on pintrest. Being together and not worrying about what I forgot to draw or how early I need to go in so I can get home for dinner is wonderful. Just knowing I can spend time with her this weekend brings a sense of peace.
With this ending I decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon. Not sure how often this will happen, what I will write about, or if everything will be spelled correctly/grammatically correct. My sister checked all my college papers (I guess I owe her some red pens) and I only have spellcheck here.
With that I will leave you with this picture. You can high five me for being so lucky. Just please don't ask my wife what she was thinking because I married up.
